  • Terms and Conditions:

    General
    1. Crown and Gradi’s Piatti dei Nonni (Competition) is governed by and subject to these Terms and Conditions.
    2. The promoter of this Competition is Crown Melbourne Limited (ABN 46 006 973 262) of 8 Whiteman Street, Southbank VIC 3006 (Crown) and Grimdi (Gradi) Pty Ltd (98 132 036 269)
    3. Participation in the Competition constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
    4. The Competition is open only to Victorian residents aged eighteen (18) years or over who are not prohibited from entering Crown for any reason, in accordance with clause 28 (Entrants).
    5. This Competition is a game of skill. Chance plays no part in determining the Finalists. Each eligible entry will be individually judged by judges appointed by Crown. The judges’ decisions are final and no correspondence will be entered into.
    6. Registration for the Competition opens at 12:01am Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST) on Monday, 27 July 2026 and closes at 5:00pm AEST on Sunday, 23 August 2026 (Registration Period).
    7. Copies of these Terms and Conditions will be made available on Crown Melbourne’s and 400 Gradi website for the duration of the Competition.

    Entry Method
    8. During the Registration Period, Entrants must visit the Competition webpage on 400 Gradi’s webpage, follow the prompts to the Competition entry page and fully complete and submit the online entry form. Entrants must provide all requested personal details, which may include their first name, last name, date of birth, email address, mobile number and residential address.
    9. Entrants must also:
    a. Nominate a person who is a Victorian resident aged eighteen (18) years or over and who is not prohibited from entering Crown for any reason in accordance with clause 28 (Nominee). The Entrant must obtain the Nominee’s consent before submitting the entry;
    b. Identify the Nominee’s “signature recipe” and specify whether the dish is an entrée, main course or dessert;
    c. Provide a short explanation, in fifty (50) words or fewer, explaining why the dish is the Nominee’s signature recipe; and
    d. Upload a photograph of the Nominee.
    10. Only one (1) eligible entry per Entrant and Nominee will be accepted. Completion of the entry method will result in one (1) entry being submitted on behalf of the Nominee. No other method of entry will be accepted.
    11. The signature recipe submitted is at the discretion of the Entrant and Nominee. By accepting these Terms and Conditions, the Entrant and Nominee warrant that the submitted dish is their own recipe and is not a direct copy of another published recipe.
    12. Entrants must clearly and accurately complete all required fields on the entry form. If an entry form is incomplete, inaccurate or cannot be verified to Crown’s reasonable satisfaction, the entry may be deemed invalid.

    Selection of Finalists
    13. The three (3) best valid entries, as determined by the judges in accordance with clause 5, will each be selected as a finalist (Finalist).
    14. Finalists will be contacted by 400 Gradi and /or Crown using the contact details provided in their entry. Finalists may be required to provide valid photographic identification and evidence of Victorian residency to confirm their identity and eligibility.
    15. Finalists must agree to be available for the following:
    a. Filming of a content piece with Johnny Di Francesco on a date and at a time advised by 400 Gradi and Crown. Only one filming day will be required for each Finalist;
    b. Attendance at the Crown Event and Finalist Celebratory Dinner at Gradi at Crown on Wednesday, 14 October 2026; and
    c. Selected promotional, publicity or media appearances on dates and at times advised by 400 Gradi Crown, subject to reasonable coordination with each Finalist’s availability.
    16. Finalists must agree to provide their signature recipe to Crown for use in connection with Competition content, marketing, promotion and publicity.
    17. Finalists must agree to provide their signature recipe to Gradi so that the Gradi kitchen can reproduce the dish and, at Crown’s discretion, include the dish on the Gradi at Crown menu for a period of approximately one (1) month.
    18. Finalists must agree to Johnny Di Francesco and any authorised production film team attending the Finalist’s home, or another agreed location, to film Competition-related content.
    19. If a Finalist is unable or unwilling to participate in the Competition or attend the required filming, event or promotional commitments described in clause 15, the Finalist may forfeit their right to participate. A Finalist cannot transfer their entry,

    Prizes
    20. Each Finalist will be invited to attend the Finalist Celebratory Dinner at Gradi at Crown on Wednesday, 14 October 2026. The dinner will celebrate the Finalists, their families and their signature dishes. Each Finalist may invite up to twenty (10) friends and family members to attend the dinner. The reasonable costs of the dinner expressly included by Crown and Gradi will be Crown and Gradi’s responsibility.
    21. Any meals, beverages, accommodation, travel, parking, tours, tips, transfers, insurance or other expenses that are not expressly included in the prize description in clause 20 will be the sole responsibility of the Finalists and their guests.
    22. Where a Finalist is unable to redeem or participate in any part of a prize because of physical inability or incapacity, adverse weather or circumstances beyond Crown’s or the prize provider’s reasonable control, that part of the prize will be forfeited and will not be redeemable for cash or any alternative prize, goods or services.

    Important Notice to Entrants and Nominees
    27. Subject to applicable law, Crown and Gradi, including its employees, agents and contractors, will not be liable to any person for any injury, including death, loss or damage arising in connection with the Competition or a prize, including the awarding, condition, use or misuse of a prize. This clause does not apply to the extent that Crown’s liability arises from an act or omission of Crown in connection with its supply of goods or services to a Finalist in the ordinary course of Crown’s business and cannot lawfully be excluded.
    28. The Competition is not open to Entrants, Nominees or other persons who are excluded from the casino under the Casino Control Act 1991 (Vic), or who are otherwise prohibited from entering the Crown Melbourne Entertainment Complex for any reason. This includes any person who becomes prohibited before or after entering the Competition and before receiving or redeeming a prize.
    29. To the extent permitted by law, Crown and Gradi may use an Entrant’s or Nominee’s name, suburb, photograph, image, likeness, voice, recipe, story and Competition-related content for the purposes of administering, promoting and advertising the Competition, future competitions, Crown, Gradi and the Crown Melbourne Entertainment Complex.
    30. Crown and Gradi will handle Entrants’ and Nominees’ personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and Crown’s privacy policy, available on Crown Melbourne’s website. Personal information collected in connection with the Competition may be used to administer the Competition, assess entries, contact Entrants and Nominees, verify eligibility, select and publicise Finalists, award prizes and conduct associated filming, events and promotions. Crown may disclose personal information to its related entities, contractors, service providers and professional advisers where reasonably required for these purposes or where disclosure is required or authorised by law.
    31. Crown and Gradi may cancel, suspend or modify the Competition where this is reasonably necessary or unavoidable, including where the Competition cannot operate as intended because of technical, administrative, legal, regulatory, health, safety or other circumstances beyond Crown and Gradi’s reasonable control. Crown and Gradi will update these Terms and Conditions as soon as reasonably practicable if this occurs. If the Competition is cancelled, Crown and Gradi may select the Finalists from eligible entries received before cancellation where it is appropriate and lawful to do so.
    32. Employees of Crown Resorts Limited and Grimdi Pty Ltd and its related bodies corporate, including Crown Melbourne, Crown Perth, Crown Sydney and Betfair, and the immediate family members of those employees, are not permitted to enter the Competition.
    33. If any part of the Competition cannot be conducted at the specified time because of unforeseen circumstances outside Crown and Gradi’s reasonable control, the affected part of the Competition will be rescheduled or conducted as soon as reasonably practicable.
    34. Crown and Gradi will not be liable for any entry that is lost, late, incomplete, incorrectly submitted, corrupted or unavailable because of a technical malfunction, network interruption, website failure, equipment failure or operator error.
    35. Crown and Gradi’s decisions concerning any aspect of the Competition, including eligibility, the validity of entries and the judges’ decisions, will be final and binding on each Entrant and Nominee, subject to applicable law.
    36. Any failure by an Entrant or Nominee to comply with these Terms and Conditions may result in the Entrant’s or Nominee’s disqualification. Disqualification will be at Crown and Gradi’s reasonable discretion and no correspondence will be entered into.
